If you’ve been wondering why things have been a little quiet around here lately… you’re not wrong. The past few months have been full—full of projects, full of travel, full of life, and leaning hard into family time with a teenager leaving the nest in a year. Sigh.
And while I haven’t been publishing as frequently, I have been thinking a lot about this community, the conversations we’ve started, and the resources I want to continue building for meeting professionals who deserve practical, real-world support.
So consider this post a reset button—and a promise.
Where I’ve been
Like many of you, I hit a stretch where the calendar simply won. Between a busy tradeshow season, lacrosse season starting up, and a few big behind-the-scenes projects, writing consistently had to take a temporary back seat. (I know you understand that feeling all too well.)
But stepping away also gave me clarity about what I want Meetings Academy to be: A place where meeting planners can learn, laugh, and level up in a way that actually helps their workday.
Where we’re going next
Starting now, Meetings Academy is back in motion. Here’s what you can expect for the rest of the year:
More consistent blog posts: Short, practical, “you can use this today” insights—just like the ones you’ve told me you love.
New tools and templates: I’ve been building some resources I think can really help
Deeper dives into using Microsoft: Because let’s be honest: the tech is powerful, but only if someone shows you how to actually use it.
A few surprises: Yes, I’m being vague on purpose. But they’re good. Really good.
Thank you for sticking around! If you’re reading this, you’re part of a community I care deeply about. Your work matters. Your meetings matter. And you being here helps me realize I’m not screaming into the void.
Here’s to a productive, creative, and well-organized rest of the year. Let’s get back to it.
